Pre-1903 curved dash Oldsmobile built in Michigan, the world’s first mass produced motor car and a popular import. It is pictured here without any registration plate, showing it to have been photographed before December1903 when motor licencing was first introduced. Owned by Colonel Edward Alexander, shown here at the “tiller” with his wife outside their home, The Red House, Pendreich Road, Bridge Of Allan. The car was licenced MS 2 when this became mandatory. A 12h.p. Oldsmobile owned by Henry Adolph Salvesen of Lathallan, Polmont, was registered MS 2.
