Passengers needed plenty of clothing when travelling by open vehicle, as can be seen from the two in this Napier pictured near Edinburgh around 1910. Note the front tyres are of different tread patterns, thought to assist grip on varying road surfaces or possibly just due to availability because of frequent punctures. Note the number of spare tyres.
