J1 and registered SC 2921, this 1928 Leyland is picking up workers at a factory “somewhere in Scotland”.Taken during WWII this photo represents the efforts that S.M.T. and other operators made, to assist the war effort. This included single deckers re-bodied as double deckers to increase capacity and pressing older buses like J1 into service.
