This Leyland Titan with Scottish General Omnibus Company Ltd.’s livery has a poster in an upstairs window which reads ” Leyland Titan built by Leyland Motors Limited, Leyland , Lancs.”. Downstairs at the rear, another poster announces the new range of models. Seen here is one of the first four (MS 8456-9) prior to entering service. The SGOC purchased it’s first double deckers in 1928 a year before W. Alexander. Both opted for new Leyland Titans, those for the General featuring Leyland bodywork with an open staircase, as opposed to the covered staircase on Alexander’s orders.
