Six former Clydebank Motors Leyland Tigers joined the Central fleet at Gavinburn , then newly opened as a depot, and received numbers T71-T76. Leyland s had always been favourite with Clydebank Motors and generally the combination of Leyland ‘s own bodywork on Leyland chassis was specified, as was the case with SN 4745. This bus did not survive to be aquired by Central as it was sold to Dunoon Motor Services. Glasgow to Balloch was the sole service latterly operated by Clydebank Motors, and as may be seen from the disc on the front window the company was a member of the XL bus owners’ association, a co-operative organising joint timetabling, ticketing etc.
