DMS 814 was PB1 in the Alexander fleet and thus first of the 20 strong PB class. As a coach it operated with Lawsons, a subsidiary of Alexanders, on long distance routes such as to London & Bournemouth. Here it is seen in bus livery with the obligatory destination sticker replacing its limited blind capacity. The Leyland OPS2 chassis were new in 1948 and possibly, as a frustrated export order, were offered at a bargain price to Alexanders.
