Alexanders took over Perth City services in June 1934. GS 5005, new in 1935 and painted red, filled the initial urgent requirement for buses. P741 received a new Leyland 8.6 litre oil engine in 1945 and lasted until 1956 by which time it had been painted in Alexander’s two-tone blue. It is seen here at the Perth Depot. Originally numbered N249 in the Alexander fleet.
