A 1910 Model ‘T’ Ford inscribed with ” Ben Nevis”. Registered S1871 this car was much rebuilt by Alexanders, Edinburgh after it’s Ben Nevis climb of 1911.The inscription ” Ben Nevis ” refers to the car’s ascent of the mountain for a publicity drive in 1911 by Henry Alexander, whose father owned Edinburgh’s main Ford agency. Ford went on to build an incredible fifteen million model T’s.The driver of this car is George Simpson.
