Accident at Dale, Mainland, Shetland. SA 6048 in the ditch being rescued in the late 1920’s. The view from the rear shows some of the effort required to get the Tin Lizzie back on the road. Although these little cars were disparagingly known as Tin Lizzies and other derogatory terms they were in reality sturdy vehicles well suited to the rugged roads of the time as testified by the large numbers sold.
