ED 1709 was new in 1919 to B.P.. Powered by a 4cyl petrol engine the maximum speed was12mph consuming fuel at 5mpg. This vehicle is now preserved at Glasgow Museum of Transport.Scottish Commercial Cars Ltd.,Duke St.,Gasgow was a distributor for Commer vehicles.After the outbreak of WW1 these vehicles became unavailable on the civilian market and the company decided to manufacture their own. After the war the company now named Caledon suffered due to the flood of ex WD lorries coming on the market and after facing financial difficulties in 1922 was finally acquired by Garrett in 1926.
