The Glasgow General Omnibus and Motor Services Ltd was much better known simply as ‘ the GOC ‘ or Glasgow Omnibus Company. It was launched in 1926 and had close links to the London General Omnibus Co., which explains why GOC favored mainly AEC products, and occasionally Associated Daimler, and why the company livery was initially ‘ General Red ‘ with cream windows and roof. This single Decker was serving the Glasgow to Balloch route with the journey mapped out on the window’s. The main garage, workshops and company HQ were at Clydesdale Garage, Bothwell Road, Hamilton.
