George Johnston is seen here with his cousin Norman Fulton who in 1899 start Albion. The 6 seater car in seen here outside Mossesfield House, Springburn. A later but smaller 4 seater was prioduced and this was known as a dog cart. The 6 seater is belived to be one of 4 A. J’s with tiller steering and this is thought to be the first. This rugged but antiquated design lasted till 1906.The Mo-Car syndicate was registered in 1898 with much of the capital subscribed by Sir William Arrol of Forth Bridge fame. George Johnston provided the engineering skills and is seen on the mid left of the car wearing a flat cap. Beside him is business partner Norman Fulton.The location is Johnston’s home at Mosesfield House, Springburn where he experimented with early engines.
