Seen in their navy blue and red livery are FS 9039, an Albion LMC 5 tonner with a drum of cable from Brunton’s of Musselburgh delivered 17/6/1931 and GG 4003, an ML 55 bodied by Kirkness and Innes of Leith with a load of paper, and delivered 26/3/1934. Chassis nos. 8020 E and 17604 F respectively.Mutter, Howey and Co Ltd. were major contractors and carriers for the London and North Eastern Railway, with Scottish depots in Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen. Messrs Mutter and Howey Ltd ., Brewers, were based at Green Lane, Tyndock South Shields.
