OMS 244 was one of 10 Albion Nimbuses bought by Alexander in 1960. Four went to the Lawson Fleet and the remainder to Alexander. Eventually they all operated for Alexander until retired in 1970. They were powered by Albion’s 4-cyl horizontal 4.1 litre EN250 engine. The unique body design carried forward to full size AEC Reliance chassis and featured a reverse-slope rear window as featured on the 1959 Ford Anglia 105E. Unfortunately the moulds for this body shape were destroyed in a fire at the Alexander factory.
