One of the very first new-fangled ‘horseless carriages’ a Stirling Daimler, chain driven and solid tyres; outside The Scottish Co-operative Society. Six passengers and driver with capped gentleman standing at rear. Very muddy road.1896 test driver Thomas Morrison demonstrating Stirling Daimler to SCWS at Shieldhall Headquarters- no order followed. Stirlings used various chassis on which they built their own bodies.
