The Scottish Motor Traction Company Ltd operated charabanc tours from the Mound to Hawes pier at South Queensferry. These tours took travellers from the Mound every half hour from 10:30 am to 6pm. A single fare cost 1/- or 5p and a return was 1/9d or 9p.
