Three examples of the TS8 specials of 1939-40. They were developed expressly by Leyland for the SMT group and achieved 39 seats by moving the front bulkhead forward, having a more upright driving position and by covering the rear of the engine with a cowling allowing it to protrude into the saloon. Pictured are WG 8808, 9329 and 9333, numbered P582, 839 and 843 in the Alexander fleet, probably at Falkirk Depot.
