Alexander bodied EWG 240 is seen destined for Callander, Stirlingshire via Falkirk and Stirling. On hire to S.M.T. it is seen in St. Andrew Square, Edinburgh on 16th June 1953 when new.This unique bus had Leyland chassis no.520003, was a demonstrator for the Scottish Omnibuses Group and was painted in this green and cream livery. In 1955 it worked for Alexanders from Falkirk in their cream and blue “Bluebird” livery after which it went to Stark, Dunbar and appeared in their two shades of green. Stark was taken over by S.O.L. in 1964 and EWG 240 was repainted in a smart light green and cream livery.
