Leyland and Thornycrofts

A busy scene at the foot of the Mound, Edinburgh, which was used as a tours stance in the early 1920’s. Catering for the huge demand for day excursions (few folk had their own transport then), are three charabancs available for tours in and around Edinburgh. The Leyland , registration number SG 2817 is on a circular tour of Edinburgh, while Thornycroft registration number SG1259 is on tour to Haddington and Thornycroft registration number SG1675 is on tour to the Forth Bridge.
