Seen in the yard of Carmichael, Glenboig, the lesser well known “Highland” fleet are CCK 346, probably an ex Ribble all Leyland Titan displaying Balmaha on Loch Lomond as its destination; FVA 650, an Albion Valiant with Duple body, possibly ex Hutcheson of Overtown and a partial view of OGG 273, a Strachans bodied Albion Victor FT39 of 1955 which was originally operated by Lowland Motorways (Greyhound) as fleet no. 29 on its St. Enoch Square to Renfrew Airport service. Scotland boasted 2 “Highland” fleets, the well known Highland Transport, later Highland Omnibuses fleet based in Inverness, and the less well known fleet of Carmichael of Glenboig.
