An Argyle lorry registered XGG 552J belonging to Robert Pollock Ltd, Haulage Contractor, 24 Sandbank St., Glasgow. It featured bodywork by Motor Panels of Coventry and used proprietary parts such as the Perkins 6-cyl. diesel engine and Eaton 2-speed rear axle. Other users were J.& R.Wright of Rutherglen and W.H. Malcolm of Brookfield.This particular Argyle company ran from 1970-1973 and was known as Argyle Diesel Electronics Limited ( later Argyle Motor Manufacturing Company Limited ).
