Registered as CVA801, and an ex MOD heavy gun tractor, is seen arriving with its load of an Edinburgh Tram, No 280, at the premises of James N McConnell Ltd in Coatbridge to be scrapped, note the prancing horse logo on the radiator is from Aveling Barford and likely to be from a road rollerJames N McConnell Ltd won the contract in the 50’s to break up Edinburgh’s tram fleet with the last tram arriving at Locks Street like this one in January 1957, this vehicle was preserved in the Summerlee Museum
