An Albion Claymore registration number WA 1960 belonging to Milanda. A horizontal diesel engined chassis with driver’s cab, fitted with a van body for the delivery of bread. Albion Motors Ltd was based in Scotstoun, Glasgow.Milanda is yet another Glasgow Bakery no longer in business . Many Albions featured amongst Milanda’s once familiar fleet of red delivery vans, including this Claymore of 1959. Alexander coachbuilders of Falkirk is better known for their construction of buses, but due to a lack of work several orders for van bodies were completed, among them this example which was exhibited at the 1959 Scottish Motor Show.
