MS 2968 was fleet no. 38 in the Scottish General Omnibus Fleet which was taken over by Alexander. Note the legal maximum speed of 12 m.p.h. and the seat rows lettered A-F. In 1914, Walter Alexander who ran a cycle shop in Camelon, Falkirk decided to venture into the passenger transport field and purchased a chain-driven Belhaven charabanc. From this developed one of Britain’s largest bus companies with a fleet of 2000 vehicles which served an operating area of over 8000 sq. miles.
