SY 1330 was fleet no. 86 with the Scottish General Omnibus Company, based at their Forth Street, Stirling depot and is seen with a Scout troop, posing beside the Kings Knot in Dumbarton Road, Stirling, below the Castle.Their tour included the Border Country and ended at Girvan, Ayrshire. In front of the bus the Scoutmaster and 2 scouts pose beside his “Bullnose” Morris Oxford tourer. The charabanc was first owned by Adam Young of Eskbank, Midlothian in 1921. It was acquired by the S.M.T. Co. of Edinburgh later that year, then passed to Cousin’s Motor Service of Culross, where it operated until the SGOC acquired that business in 1925. The charabanc body was later removed and the chassis converted to a lorry. As such it ran from 1930 for haulage contractor Callander of Forfar and scrapped in 1933.
