Sitting behind the wheel is Captain Kelsey(leader) with Colonel Matthew(M D Argyll factory) alongside, the photo has been taken outside the main door of the Argyll Motor Works Factory in Alexandria. A special vehicle built for the Cape to Cairo expedition across Africa. It was capable for being floated across rivers within its own pontoon. The expedition ended when Cpt Kelsey was killed by a Leopard. The expedition broke up and some members were captured by the Germans in east Africa when the War started.
