Queensferry Road in the north-west Edinburgh suburb of Blackhall is seldom seen so bereft of traffic today but in this scene from 1955 everything appears so much leisurely and civilised although ths wasn’t necessarily appreciated by folks at the time. City bound and passing David Jack’s paint shop on the right is LSF 315, a 1954 Austin Somerset with a distant Jowett Javelin descending the hill behind.
