The roof-box and window shape indicate that the double-decker might be an ex London Transport AEC RT post WWII..These had bodies largely constructed of steel by Park Royal or Weymann which is possibly why the structure remained relatively intact. DSF 984 is all that remains of an Edinburgh registered AEC chassied bus.
